Testimonials

  • "Our mother has now been a resident at Ashley Manor for four years, and in all this time she has been very happy here. She moved in soon after suffering a stroke that left her unable to cope with living at home. She especially enjoys the large and sunny garden, spending many a hour sitting outside chatting to other residents. When not outside she enjoys the communal lounge, one of the sunny conservatories or her own room. Ashley Manor has a warm, homely atmosphere, and the place is bright, clean, welcoming and cheerful. The facilities are of a good standard and the nursing staff and carers are very friendly and extremely helpful. They really take care of the residents and do a great job. So a big thank you to all at Ashley Manor for taking such good care of our mother."

  • "My Mother went to stay here in January this year. At first she found it very difficult to settle, but with the care and support of all the staff, she is now feeling more at home. All the staff go out of their way to make sure all the residents are happy and contented and all their needs are met. Her room is bright and cheerful and the various common rooms are comfortable, light and welcoming."

  • "My mum was in Ashley Manor for a couple of years until her recent death and the care and friendship she received was second to none. She was very reluctant to go into a home as most people are but from the outset she was given the respect and kindness that she deserved. Of course there were a few hiccups in the early days but it didn't take long for my mum to find her feet and start making Ashley Manor home. My mum had lost her speech due to a stroke and the staff soon picked up the best way to communicate with her and make out what she was saying. During the night the night shift would all pop in and they would have a singing session with her, which she loved. I cannot praise the staff and management enough for looking after my mum with so much love and affection for the last 2 years of her life and the sadness I saw on the day she died was very heartwarming. Ashley Manor has made a huge amount of improvements in all aspects of the home and I would happily move in myself if it was allowed. "

  • "Most impressed with all the full support, and personal care being given to mother. Throughout her continuing residence, ALL staff, nurses, and management fully monitor/detail/and record all aspects; and of any changes however small; both mental and medical."
